This item replaces a 70 pt model and is adequately removing humidity from my basement. The redesign on the filter is an improvement in facilitating cleaning. The filter is now removable from the filter casing and is much easier to clean as a result. The vertical outlet for dehumidified air rather than the horizontal discharge in the previous model also aids in the flow of dehumidified air into the basement area. I am quite pleased with the operation of this 50 pt model.

Bought this 2 months ago and it™™s been a workhorse throughout the summer. Live in the PNW and my basement bedrooms were averaging 65 humidity. This unit constantly ran nearly 24/7 but you wouldn™™t know due since it™™s got a gently hum. The pump feature is a must have and doesn™™t make nearly any noise. One reco is to get a longer silicon tube to attach to the pump as the plastic one that comes with it is less flexible and not as long as you™™d like. Still, highly recommend this dehumidifier!

my last dehumidifier was a much smaller, highly-rated GE unit i purchased in 2012 and that thing was much louder than this. The loudness probably what I was worried about the most with this. I've had it for one month running pretty much constantly and I'm happy to report it is not very loud. My air purifier is louder. The sound it makes is smooth and sounds like mostly like a fan, but does have a little hum to it. It doesn't make any kind of rattling or uneven, vibrating kind of sound.

I've had many, many, dehumidifiers in my basement over the years. Several brands. Some were recalled, others failed over varying stretches of time.This time, I decided to go with a big name brand in addition to great reviews. Enter Frigidaire.I've had this running about a month now. It's quiet. Shhhh...it could be in my bedroom, that's how quiet it is. It's accurate. Best of all, for me, it blows air out of the top and takes it in from the back....perfect configuration for where/how I want to place it. Of all the ones I've had, I like this one the best.Now all it needs to do is last.

Set humidity to 55%, channeled the tank house to empty outside the basement, turned it on, been working like a charm since. Once it stopped with a full tank. I just checked the directions, selected "Empty Tank" and bingo, the pump empties the tank. You can see the red water level indicator decend as the tank empties. Been on full automatic since. So far the appliance works as promised. Humidity and mustiness in basement has been eliminated. A worry free, maintenance free divice. Rare in todys world of expensive applicances that crash. They dont make 'em like they used to ! We are very happy with the 70 gallon dehumidifier.

The product worked great for less than three months then completely died with the EC error code coming up in the display. A quick internet search sadly revealed that this is very common with this dehumidifier. I have completed the process with Frigidaire to have my unit replaced but i have not received it yet. I'm supposed to have the new dehumidifier in 7-10 days so hopefully I receive it soon. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this product based on my experience thus far but we will see how the replacement fares assuming I receive it.

This dehumidifier is a free replacement for the the last Frigidaire dehumidifier I bought that was about 1 year old. After notifying the company that it stopped working, I was sent a form to fill, and was promptly sent this dehumidifier. Its is quiet and works well. I appreciate Frigidaire for backing up their products and responding quickly.

This dehumidifier was easy to set up and is pulling a lot of water out of our basement. The tank is filling up 1-2 times a day. Instead of shutting it down when we left for a weekend, we used the pump function and it worked perfectly. We may leave that function on all the time.

Spent an hour on the phone trying to find out specifics on how to use this, i.e., pump with skinny tube supplied with dehumid., garden hose with or without pump, etc. since I believed instructions were unclear as to how to use this properly. It's a dehumidifier--how hard could it be, but I believe Frigidaire made it difficult with their unclear manual. So, Tech support knew NOTHING. This is the first time I bought a dehumidifier with a pump. I was told to get a pump by a friend. Now I realize that I did not need the pump. This is the scoop on how to use this dehumidifier. The instruction booklet is rather useless, IMHO. If you have a sewer nearby (lower) than where the drainage garden hose port is on the back of the dehumidifier you don't use the pump on the dehumid. Gravity will drain the water into the sewer and no water will ever go into the bucket. If you need to pump the water out to a place above the dehumid, port, you need to use the skinny hose and port AND the pump. The bucket will fill up (which surprised me) and when the bucket gets full, the pump will "pump" out the water, whether above or to a nearby lower sewer. You would think they could make this clear in the instructions, as it is not rocket science. But they do not. Also, beware, when I was using the skinny tube with the pump and bucket, and I decided to switch to see how the garden hose (gravity without pump) worked, when I opened the port, a bunch of water was sitting in that garden hose port. (I mentioned it to tech support for naught.) I wonder if people using the skinny hose have a bunch of water sitting in that port that they are unaware of. It would seem after awhile like it could be a mold health hazard to have water just sitting in that port without someone's knowledge. Anyway, I tried to discuss the lack of instruction and this issue with the water sitting in the garden hose port, but my "tech" said that there was nobody to discuss this with at Frigidaire. So far I like their product, but it would benefit Frigidaire to have a help line where people can actually get help. Wasted an hour of my time on something that was SO SIMPLE had Frigidaire been clear in their instructions, like don't have to use pump with garden hose gravity method.

I had an older Frigidaire unit that worked flawlessly for over 10 years but the pump finally said enough. I purchased my new Frigidaire unit and am please to report it too is working flawlessly and my Naples, FL garage is back to remaining cooler, at 40% humidity, and no signs of mold. After having my carpets steam cleaned, there was a tremendous amount of humidity in the house, mainly due to having it done during the summer. Works very well. The 900 sq ft basement is dry and odor free. My only complaint is that the bucket gets so full that you have to be very careful when you empty it. I would definitely recommend this product.

The set up was easy and quick. the internal pump takes the worry and management of water reservoir. The digital humidity level indicator is a nice feature. The noise level on the medium fan speed is not too bad or distracting.

I bought one of these initially as a store pick up from Home Depot. I got it home and it wouldn™™t turn on. I returned it and decided to order a second one with delivery to my home since customer service at Frigidaire couldn™™t technically assist me. Fortunately it turned on and has been working nicely in my basement. I™™ve been using continuous mode per instructions for the first few days and I™™ve been emptying the bucket 2 times a day. Hence lots of moisture! The machine is quiet compared to my previous one.

We needed a humidifier in the garage and decided to get another Frigidaire. We have an older model in the basement and it works with no issue. So glad we bought the built in pump model since our garage does not have a drainage in the ground. Easy set up, quieter than the older model, and it dehumidified our garage from 70% to 45% in less than an hour. When it's ready to be emptied, just place the pump hose out the window and turn on the pump function. No more lifting the bucket of water out to empty!

Bought this dehumidifier about a month ago. It was easy to set up. Because I didn't want to lift a bucket to empty the water I got this one with an automatic pump. Works great since I have to have the water go up to empty into a sink. Would have given 5 stars but received my electric bill and I didn't think it would have gone up that high.

Bought this in July 2020 for basement we just remodeled. Would really give it 3.5 stars. This Frigidaire works great for dehumidification. It removes a ton of water. Brought the humidity level from 75% down to 50 % in one day. Unfortunately, the pump stopped working within a couple months. The dehumidification still works great. I have not had a chance to check out the warranty yet, but plan to see how it is honored. Other than the pump, my only criticism would be that the bucket gets almost too full. It's difficult to remove without spilling a little water. It is easy to carry and empty, however. In summary, great dehumidifier, crappy pump.

We bought this as a recommendation as our AC was running constantly trying to keep things cool the first week it ran and ran and ran I didn't think that it was supposed to do that we emptied 20 gallons of water and then it's slowed down and the air stopped running so much and now it's comfortable and it keeps. The house much cooler I even put my thermostat up because it became colder than I expected. I would recommend this dehumidifier it's top shelf thanks

My wife and I live full time in our Motorhome. Rv™™s are notorious for having high humidity. All the cooking and showering normally done in 1,000 to 3,000 sq. ft. condensed down to only a few hundred feet means combating a lot of moisture every day. This dehumidifier does a great job of keeping the humidity level under control. It easily keeps up with maintaining 35 to 55 percent humidity levels with an alarm when the tank is full. The added benefit is the drain and the pump that we use when dealing with those humid summer days when this dehumidifier does a lot of work. Mold and mildew are much less likely with this dehumidifier on board.

We just installed laminate flooring in a 2,500 sf house and were struggling to control the humidity level. After pouring over all the reviews, we selected this Frigidaire unit. While the instructions on using the pump were quite confusing, I got it hooked up and it works great. It puts out some warm air, but tolerable.Noise level with fan on high is not as bad as I'd expected.All in all, we are very pleased with our selection.

It was always damp in the cellar. Within 2 days this unit changed the humidity from 85% to 45%. Now it only runs a few times a day and maintains the 45%. Wish I had purchased this years ago.
